EGX

We at GT Omega Racing attended EGX 2017 (Eurogamer Expo) at the NEC in Birmingham back on the 21st to 24th September 2017. EGX is UK's biggest video games event where you can go along and find the most anticipated console and PC games, all playable weeks or months before they're released. The event also has presentations by game designers from world-renowned studios, areas dedicated to Esports, the opportunity to meet and chat with game creators and also companies exhibiting their products which is the main reason why we attended.

At the event we had an area of a decent size to showcase our brand and products, the interaction from the public at this event was incredible. On show, we had various gaming office chairs, and an ART cockpit with a monitor using Sony VR technology. Also on top of this, our Giant Pro gaming office chair made another appearance and once again it went down very well with the public at the event. Especially seeing as we held a giveaway where to enter people had to sit in the giant gaming chair and share a photo to social media to enter the competition.

As well as our exhibitor space we also featured in many other places and attractions across the event. First of all our chairs were featured on the ‘Heroes of the storm’ stage which played host to the Yogscast Showdown. This featured some of the Yogscast family battling it out, streaming games to Twitch TV and also live viewers watching at the event. Whilst at all times the Yogscast gamers were enjoying the comfort of our PRO gaming office chairs. Next, our chairs were featured in one of the PlayStation 4 areas for the game ‘Project Cars 2’. We supplied this area with a mix of chairs including some of our XL series in a variety of different colours to make the booth stand out and for gamers to be ultra comfortable while trying out this brand new game release.

Overall EGX 2017 at the NEC in Birmingham was a hugely successful event for GT Omega, we had great fun at our stand and also browsing the event and all it had to offer. Once again our Giant gaming office chair stole the show, and the feedback from customers and fans was fantastic. We hope to see you all again at EGX 2018!
