GT Omega at MCM London Comic Con
In May we attended MCM London Comic Con, the UK’s biggest and best celebration of pop culture and it’s a weekend we won’t soon forget. Tens of thousands of people poured through the halls of the ExCel London each day and we were ready for them.
A weekend to remember at MCM London
Plenty to see and do!
Front and centre on our stand were our officially licensed, My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission gaming chairs collection. Throughout the weekend we were letting people take their photo in the chairs and post them online for their chance to win one of their very own. It was amazing to see the reaction to these unique MHA Gaming chairs and even better to see people cosplaying as the characters in their respective chairs.
As usual we gave people the chance to test out our range of gaming and office chairs at our stand. From the classic Pro Series gaming chair right up to our cutting edge, ergonomic Xayo Office chair, we had something for everyone. Our new Zephyr gaming chair proved to be the most popular of the bunch at MCM London. Visitors to our stand were especially impressed with the wide seating area, extra cushioning and soft fabric material of the Zephyr.
Special Effect Scribble Seat
Our charity Scribble Seat made a reappearance at MCM London and the reception was fantastic. After two days our gaming chair canvas was an explosion of colours, words and doodles, and we loved every last one of them. Each and every scribble represented support for the incredible work that the people at Special Effect do to help gamers with disabilities. We also took another Scribble Seat around the Comic Con Artist’s Alley, keep an eye on our blog and socials for more and that one. Trust me, you DON’T want to miss it…
Always time to race
With everything we do sim racing is at the heart of it and MCM London Comic Con was no different. We brought along two fully kitted out GT Omega PRIME Cockpits and let visitors to our stand tear through Brands Hatch in a McLaren 720S. Both rigs were fitted with the new RS12 Simulator Seat and equipped with the MOZA Racing R9 Wheel Base V2, CRP Pedals and the V2 GS GT Wheel. Unsurprisingly, more than a few of our visitors were sim racing fans and they were beyond excited to step into our top of the line PRIME Cockpits and get hands on with the MOZA Racing Ecosystem. Sadly another event has passed without anyone being able to beat our staff’s best lap time. Someone beat Chris soon, please. 😅
GT Omega's Next Stop?
With MCM London behind us, our next stop will be Brands Hatch Circuit on June 17th and 18th. Come visit us at American Speedfest 10 and help us support our GT Omega sponsored Athlete Jack Davidson in round 2 of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.
